Queen Bey owned 2013 and now she’s taking her superstar dominance into 2014. According to reports, Mrs. Platinum-In-Less-Than-A-WeeK is prepping for the February release of her new fragrance, RISE.
“The spirit of RISE encourages women to be all that we are,” Beyonce said in a press release for the new perfume, which was inspired by her favorite Maya Angelou poem, Still I Rise.
“The fragrance concept is about female empowerment and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful,” revealed Marsha Brooks, vice president of global marketing for Coty Beauty. “She has done a lot of fruity florals. She’s done gourmands. Pulse was this electric citrus-y floral. This is sexy and sophisticated. We tested it in multiple countries with excellent results.”
RISE is the third fragrance for the 32-year-old pop star, following 2009’s Heat and 2011’s Pulse. The new bottles — available in 0.5 oz, 1.0 oz, and 1.7 oz sizes — will be shipped to over 30,000 retailers just in time for Valentine’s Day.
