With so much negativity surrounding men and fatherhood, especially black men and fatherhood, it’s good to see stories like this. “Daddy Don’t Go”, a New York-based documentary, sets out to dispel the stereotype of absentee fathers in America.
At a time when one out of every three children in the U.S. grows up without a father, “Daddy Don’t Go” will challenge the epidemic of fatherlessness by offering intimate portraits of four racially diverse, economically disadvantaged dads (Alex, Nelson, Roy and Omar) who are defying the odds against them.
