You may not know this Tony Award nominee by face, but you definitely know him for his work! ESosa, runner up on the seventh season of “Project Runway,”  is responsible for designing  looks for some of Broadway’s biggest productions, including Motown: The Musical and The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.

With dozens of design credit under his belt, ESosa was celebrated as one of the top fashion designers in his field last week. At the 23rd annual NAACP Black Theatre Awards, New York City native went home with the 2013 Best Costume Award for By The Way…Meet Vera Stark.

In a previous interview with fashionista.com, ESosa said he perfected his craft by studying the day-to-day workings of theater. “My advice for anyone who wants a career in theater, is to research a designer they admire, send them a note and ask about an internship. That way, you can experience the day-to-day workings and see if you enjoy it,” he said. “I learned from the best designers how to use different fabrics and colors to achieve the desired effect.”

Be on the look out for ESOSA’s work in upcoming projects like Fences directed by Phylicia Rashad and the national tour of The Gershwins Porgy and Bess.
