  • HOUSTON (AP) — Court documents indicate a deadly shooting at a house party in suburban Houston that left two teenagers dead and 19 hurt might not have started as a result of celebratory gunfire.

Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia had said Saturday’s shooting began when someone fired a pistol in the air in celebration and someone else began firing into the crowd.

But probable cause affidavits for two suspects who were arrested Monday — 21-year-old Willie Young and 18-year-old Randy Stewart — present a different scenario.

The affidavits say two individuals at the party told investigators Young and Stewart began firing at them before shooting into the crowd.
