  • One North Dakota woman’s home is one children will be avoiding on Halloween because not only is she limiting the amount of candy she’s giving out; she’s handing out letters to the parents of overweight children to complain about their weight.

The woman who is going by just “Cheryl” explained to a local radio station, “I am just hoping the parents are going to read [the letter] and think about it while they watch their kids get into bigger and bigger sizes of clothes.”

Part of the letter will read: “Your child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season.”

Adding, “My hope is that you will step up as a parent and ration candy this Halloween and not allow your child to continue these unhealthy eating habits.”

Do you think it’s appropriate for the woman to comment on another person’s child?

    1. To choose the best mortgage provider this article are really important. The Interest Rate, Type of Interest, Costs Prepayment, Penalty, Qualifying, Processing these are the key term for mortgaging. I think this article will be helpful for all.
      Obesity

    2. Kids need to play more outside with all the crap on TV and video games kids just stay inside the house and eat the only exercise they get is PE at school. My four year old cousin is 77 pounds and she has diabetes its very sad part of this is her mothers fault because she let her eat whatever she wanted the grandparents now have custody and are trying to get her weight on track, but it seems like dieting is not helping this little girl she dreams and thinks about food she will take it from your plate its just very sad. If she asks me for food I give her fruits or vegetables she does not like it much but I refuse to give her sweets!

    3. I don’t feel what this woman is doing is appropriate, but I do understand her reasoning
when I was growing up school lunch was worse (calorically) than today we didn’t eat
at Mikky D’s or BK we ate burgers you could read a newspaper through the bag once you took the
food out, yet you almost NEVER saw a FAT kid, schools have eliminated PE requirements
X-Box, Nintendo, TV have replaced football, basketball, and other physically active games we played after school. So now you have kids starting off early in life with weigh and health issue’s which
will be extremely hard if not impossible to reverse later in life, sure we hear the anecdotal stories
Of miraculous weight lose but for every one there will be 100 that will endure a shortened life of health
Issues . It is something to think about

    4. Another assumption about obesity. Not all obese children eat to be the size they are. Does she think the parents don’t already know their children are obese? Does she know the step have been and may still be taken? She should just turn the porch light off and eat the candy she bought.
