When it comes to making headlines for all the wrong damn reasons, no one does it quite like Mr. Kanye West.

More than a musician, the self-proclaimed “rockstar” has become a magnet for irrepressible controversy–it’s as if he wakes up in the morning, gold chains gleaming in the morning sun, the ol’ ball and chain admiring herself in the mirror, and thinks aloud, “how can I make a bigger ass of myself today?”

He must plan, plot and prep exceptionally well.

Over the past few weeks, West (oops, we mean “Yeezus”) has submerged himself in radio and television appearances to promote his new self-entitled album, as well as his nationwide “Yeezus” tour. They say Jesus Christ himself hits the stage to perform with Kanye.

That’s lucky.

During a radio promo with Ryan Seacrest, West delivered yet another gem to the listening public, claiming that new fiancee, industry-jump-off-turned reality star Kim Kardashian, has greater national influence than…wait for it..the first lady of the free world, Michelle Obama.

Yep, drink it in.

In fact, he’s lobbying to get the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star her first Vogue cover.

“There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday,” he said, noting that reality stars have often been overlooked by mainstream fashion magazines. “And collectively, we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.”

When his Prada-wearing boo landed the cover of CR Fashion Book, West saw it as a transcendent moment.

“[Former French Vogue editor] Carine Roitfeld supports my girl. That’s a breakthrough,” he explained. “There’s a wall of classicism that we are breaking through.”

Without cracking a smile, West said it’s not his intention to be controversial.

“That’s not my concern,” he shared. “My concern is doing God’s work and he’ll work everything else out.”

Doing God’s work, huh? If that’s not blasphemy, nothing is.
