The teenage son of Snoop Dogg is suspended  from his high school football team for one game after becoming involved in a brawl with a rival player last week.

Junior wide receiver Cordell Broadus has been forced to sit out Diamond Bar High School’s game this week as punishment for allegedly punching an opposing team member from Diamond Ranch High School during a game last Friday.

Video footage obtained by TMZ shows the 16-year-old charging from the sideline to the middle of the field and throwing a haymaker at an opposing player. It prompted a full-on melee to break out on the field.

Referees called the game three minutes before it was scheduled to end, and officials from the California Interscholastic Federation have since handed out suspensions to a number of players, including Broadus.

The suspension comes as Broadus, at 6’3″ and 186 lbs, is reportedly being recruited by some of the top college programs in the country including Notre Dame, Duke, LSU, Nebraska, UCLA and USC.

The news also comes just one day after Snoop spoke about the pride he feels for his son during an appearance Monday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He said his boy was on course to become the first member of his family to complete college.
