A group of 7th graders in Oakland, California have gone viral with a rap battle that illustrates the rivalry of DNA pioneers Rosalind Franklin and the duo Watson and Crick. The upshot: Franklin did the heavy lifting in finding DNA’s double helix, but W&C swooped in and took all the credit for its discovery.

The rap and video comes from 7th graders at Oakland’s KIPP Bridge Charter School. The Watson and Crick rappers use Kanye West’s single “Clique” featuring Big Sean and Jay-Z, while the student playing Franklin borrows Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl”…until she decides to REALLY go in on Watson and Crick and use their “Clique” beat to finish them off.
