A little too much work/partying over the last few weeks have rendered the darkness under my eyes a glaring reminder of why I need more sleep. But since building a few more hours into a day just isn’t possible, faking the appearance of healthy eyes that look unscathed by my horrible sleep patterns was the job of two wonder under-eye concealers – both of which have a special place in my heart.
My tombstone should read, “Gregorie couldn’t live without Tarte Cosmetics.” Rather than gush uncontrollably about a brand that never stops creating products we want and work well, let’s get down to brass tax on what Tarte BB tinted under eye corrector, which comes in the Beauty without Boundaries 8-piece collection sold on QVC ($65.98) did for me and why should own it. First off, a BB under eye corrector? Always innovating…you go Tarte. Because the kit comes with an Undereye dual-sided diffuse bamboo concealer brush, I changed up my normal habit of using my fingers to apply my concealer. Why I was surprised, I don’t know, but I enjoyed a flawless application of the butter smooth ’corrector’ with the insanely soft brush. In one fell swoop, my dark circles faded to the background. Good coverage & not incredibly heavy.
Medium & Heavy coverage
Those of us needing a bit more coverage will adore Becca Cosmetics Dual Coverage Compact Concealer ($28, beccacosmetics.com). The dual pan consists of medium coverage on the right and heavier coverage on the left or use them two together to customize the perfect coverage for when you need it, how you need it. ’Corrector’ isn’t for the faint of heart as it comes comes in 27 shades. This brown girl loves the extensive shade offering.
