Rent the Runway, the leading online destination for designer dress and accessory rentals, introduces an assortment of plus size dresses from top designers. Can I get a thunder-clap from all my fatshionistas?!
The launch of RTR Plus is a continuation of Rent the Runway’s overall brand mission to make luxury fashion accessible to all women. And I must mention that it’s a perfect solution for the NYC socialite or the Instagram celebrity who wouldn’t dare be caught in the same dress more than once.
Designers Badgley Mischka, Carmen Marc Valvo and Theia, among others, have created plus size dresses exclusively for Rent the Runway in sizes 14-22. Existing plus size styles from Kay Unger and Adrianna Papell will also be available for rent on the site. With over forty styles – from classic little black dresses and cocktail styles in sequin and lace, to evening gowns – we (plus size women) can now rent designer dresses for $50–$200, making luxury fashion truly accessible for us at a fraction of the cost.
