First, there was the Cupid Shuffle. Then there was the Wobble, then the TJ Shuffle. Now there’s a new line dance sweeping the nation – the Sweetie Pie. Yes, Robbie Montgomery of OWN’s “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s”’ and her son, Tim Montgomery, have created an all-new dance sensation and you can expect that this one will soon make the rounds at weddings, barbeques and family celebrations of all kinds.

“You never know what you’re going to do,” says Miss Robbie. “My mom used to say ‘you know where you’ve been but you never know where you’re going. Every weekend I like to go and do the slide dances. Tim decided he’s going to write me a slide for my birthday party. After the doctors said I would no longer sing again, I never even though about it. But Tim comes up with this song “The Sweetie Pie” slide. I went in with him and tried to sing it and it turned out pretty good. This is my first song he wrote for me and at 73, my first video.”

Despite her age, Miss Robbie hasn’t lost a step vocally or physically if “Do The Sweetie Pie” is any indication. Tim says co-directing and co-producing the video is just a taste of his many talents. “I can fry you some chicken, too,” he says.

“He finally did something for me, I’m not feeding him,” says Miss Robbie. “He got me shaking my Sweetie Pie. I thought it was gone but I looked back there and I had a little left!”

Catch a behind the scenes look at the making of “Do the Sweetie Pie” on “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s on Saturday, October 5 at 9 p.m. on OWN.
