  • Dallas, TX (August 26, 2013) THE D.L. HUGHLEY SHOW, hosted by D.L. Hughley with co-hosts Jasmine Sanders and Steve Wilson, begins on radio nationwide today from 3-7pm ET. The show will broadcast in 39 markets including Chicago, Cleveland, Nashville, Memphis, Detroit and New Orleans. THE D.L. Comedian, actor, host, and television personality Hughley has stated that he’s “very excited to get back to radio and it couldn’t have come at a better time.  I think radio fits my sensibility.  I want to be fast, I want to be funny, I want to be topical. I want to make people laugh a lot and think a little. Some people want to push the envelope – I want to see if I can singe it a little.”

    1. coming to you from DMI aka Des Moines, Iowa. I really enjoy your show and the music you play its always a variety. want to know how to get in on the phone lines, seems like a real hard job. Iwant to express my opinions on some of ur issues so tell me the secret to getting in. yes there are black folk in Iowa lol.

    2. .luv your show it soothes me. The musix u
play is good to listen to for all ages. Young & old. Thank you for this radio station.god bless

    3. Hi DL love the show been a fan since Def Jam. Check this out My neighbor was watching Tv in his Den while his dog decided to go his restroom and chew up his dentures like a dam bone. Now he can’t even eat nothing Lmao. He had to drink soup and to top it off The dentist office is closed for Veterans Day.

      • I WANT TO ADD SOMETHING ELSE, THAT IS A WONDERFUL THING YOU ARE DOING TO HELP SOME TO HAVE A WONDERFUL VACATION. I HAVE NOT WENT ANYWHERE FOR MY BIRTHDAY IN YEARS 5+ YEARS . BECAUSE I NO ONE HAS ASK ME DO I WANT TO DO ANYTHING FOR ANY OCCASIONS, THAT IS SAD. I WOULD LOVE HAVE THE OPPURTINITY TO JUST ONCE, THAT IS ONE OF MY BUCKET LIST ITEM. COME OUT OF THE CINDERALLA CLOSET AND LIVE IT UP FOR ONCE IN LIFE IT WOULD BE GREAT. MY CLOTHES ARE VERY OUT OF DATE.. NEED A REAL MAKE OVER.. PLEASE GRANT ME A SPECIAL WISH…VELMA SLATTON…

    5. Would any show address the rape culture being proliferated by the huge hit by Robin Thicke & Pharell– “blurred lines”? I think that talking about the horrifying misogynist undertones of this song would be profound for this station (and others) to step towards correcting rape culture.

What does it say that young girls dance to this song without understanding what it is saying to and about them? Shouldn’t we as a community be upset by this & other songs that set our young girls up to be disrespected by men?

      Thank you for your consideration.
      A listener & a mother

    6. I love DL’s show, because I love humor!!! But waaaay to much music. I listen online, and wish they would expand his broadcast to other cities throughout the country. Network Execs….Why is it that other national radio shows have lots of talk, and less music?? I know it’s a marketing thing….but every time you look around there’s music being played. I’d like to hear more of DL….especially his political humor, and less music!!

    7. I do not like DL Hugley and I don’t think he is funny since he dosen;t like black women according to his book. I am almost forced to listen to him since nothing else is on here in KC but I am now wishing we had Michael Baisden back at least he was doing things in thw Black community DL is just going to be on here being an idiot

      • I’m trying to figure out why you think you are “forced to listen to” DL, or anyone else for that matter. It’s a choice. Do something else. Read a book, exercise, or take a walk. If you are listening to him at work; how about doing your work. I like DL’s political savvy, and his humor. But to each his own. As for as DL not liking Black women…….I think that’s a fallacy, and some people that read his book may have misinterpreted what he was saying

      • Please bring back M. Baiseden, DL needs to stick to stand up we need someone like Michael on the airwaves to inspire and inform the black community seems that type of positiveness never stays around too long. Now instead of real news and information we get jokes and BS.
