During his interview Saturday with the radio show “The Weekend,” Ted Nugent lashed out against his critics at the New Haven Register who encouraged a boycott of his upcoming concert in Connecticut over his controversial comments about the late Trayvon Martin.

As you may remember, Nugent previously spoke out in support of George Zimmerman’s acquittal while calling Martin a “dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe.” The Register believed his comments to be parallel with the same thinking employed by the Klu Klux Klan.

On Saturday afternoon, Nugent pushed back on his “haters,” asserting that “people who hate Ted Nugent hate freedom.” He told radio host Joe Pagliarulo that “Trayvon got justice.”

While stating that the people who dislike his comments regarding race were “idiots” or “on LSD” he added, “The people that hate me hate America.”

“They obviously hate the First Amendment,” he added before asserting that he will continue to speak out on his beliefs, with the added “bonus” that he will “drive sub-human numb-nuts batty.”
