Chris Brown says he wants to quit music after his upcoming album “X” because he’s “tired of being famous” for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.

He tweeted: “Don’t worry mainstream America. After this ‘X’ album, it’ll probably be my last album. Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!”

The singer was convicted of battery and sentenced to 80 hours of community labor, five years probation and required to attend a 12-month domestic violence counseling program following the attack of his famous ex-girlfriend.

Brown’s five year probation was revoked recently after the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office got wind of his involvement in a hit-and-run incident in May.

Chris is alleged to have left the scene after smashing into a woman’s Mercedes-Benz, and while the victim has refused to press charges it is required by law that the judge revoke probation.

Chris was spared jail, but will have to answer the charges later this month.
