Geraldo Rivera, the Fox News host/darling tweeted a breath-taking (for some) half-nude “selfie” mirror photo early Sunday along with this message: “70 is the new 50.”
The shirtless Rivera also wrote from what appears to be a bathroom … with a fluffy white towel or robe positioned very low in front of his hips: “(Erica and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age…)”
This is the same guy who basically said Trayvon Martin was asking for trouble just because he wore a hoodie the night he was killed.
Speaking of which, according to The Blaze, a conservative (Glenn Beck owned) website/newsletter, the pic was posted hours after Rivera was reportedly dissed at a rally for Trayvon in New York on Saturday.
Naturally, the reaction to the photo was pure shock. A lot of Twitter users were using variations of “Why?!,” “Oh my God” or the Internet-speak version, “OMG.”
And yes, the tweet came from Rivera’s verified Twitter account. And so far, he hasn’t played the “My Twitter account was hacked” card. At least not yet.
Instead, he’s blaming the photo on “tequila”, telling a local radio station, “This weekend, it was tequila. I never do tequila when I’m alone, but I had this new bottle that someone had given me for my birthday.”
