    1. The thing is that everything the guy wrote is a social construct within the black community that simply isn’t true and is the exact mentality that keeps many African Americans from changing their circumstance. It is a false narrative put forth by the likes of Al Sharpton to enrich himself at the expense of the black community.

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

      - Booker T. Washington

      • Booker T: The ISSUE NOW is WHITEY, not Al Sharpton, etc., but getting WHITEY’s foot off your & my neck, then we can deal with others. Africans sold us into slavery, but We have to deal with WHITEY first.

    2. This letter has been circulating for a few days now with a different name attached. Also Lance Gross just posted on Twitter that he is not the author of this letter. Get your facts straight, you see what happened in SF to the media that posted an inaccurate story.

    3. There are always consequences for your actions. That “so-called Child” was up to no good probably. His history of past BAD BEHAVIOR is an indicator. He should have been home doing his homework, etc. A jury found Zimmerman IINOCENT; please let it go.

    4. A 6 foot “child” who was on top of Zimmerman beating his puffy little behind is not an innocent man, either. Perhaps if someone bothered to read the transcript of the *entire* call instead of what MSNBC chose to edit over it would be obvious what was going on. Martin was standing there stoned, staring at buildings and whatnot.

      • Trayvon had traces of marijuana in his system therefore he was not stoned! Also, Zimmerman was told not to follow. When he chose to get out of that car after being told to stay put, he made a decision that altered two lives. Please, if you are going to comment, know all the facts!!! Regardless of how tall he was he was still a child.

    5. Bubba, Trayvon was not a child, let’s be real here. You and the media wanted him perceived as a 12 year old riding a pony in a Hollister shirt, right? And he was at one point, but not anymore, his social media sites, yes confirmed as his, portray him accurately as “No Limit Nigga” with a keen interest in drugs (weed), guns, and fighting. When you look past the Ben Crump scripted story, you can judge things accurately with your own mind, not what someone else tells you should think.

      Peace/out

    6. I love the note but I wonder If this wasn’t nationalized would he still inherit those same struggles (I doubt it) because he would have killed got away and then move out the area. It’s still a no win for black men in America. We are still segregated even among our counterparts. They will always view us as a threat to society.

    7. Excellent letter…however GZ will never be able to walk the streets as a free man. He will always have to look over his shoulder, just as Trayvon did on that dire night that his life was taken. GZ will never rest in his mind or his body. It may look bleak now, but GOD will take care of this situation.

    8. I truly appreciate the open words of Lance Gross addressed to Zimermn & I pray to my GOD that the words of his letter be granted by my GOD against that dirty-low-down-no-good-for-nothing-child-murderer ! [7].
