Thursday, June 27 is National HIV Testing Day and Swizz Beatz is encouraging people to get tested in a new PSA for a campaign led by Lifebeat in partnership with the CDC, MTV’s GYT Now, Viacom and Sirius/XM.
1,000 people ages 13-24 in the U.S. are infected with HIV every month, over half of them are unaware they are HIV-positive, and it hits the African-American community the hardest. Many celebrities are coming together to get the important word out about knowing your status.
Watch Swizz Beatz speak on it in the video.
