Media mogul Tyler Perry is donating $50,000 to a man who was left paralyzed from the waist down after he jumped into a creek to save a 4-year-old girl near Atlanta, Ga.
Michael Patterson, 43, severed his spine and broke his neck in three different places while doing the good deed.
The family of Patterson thanked Perry on a Facebook page dedicated to his recovery.
