GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) — Police say a woman killed her husband of two months by running over him in her car.

Krystal Kersey was arrested Monday after police reached her by phone, reports the Mississippi Press.

The 25-year-old is charged with the Saturday murder of 24-year-old Justin Stork.

Gautier Police Capt. Jerry Cooksey says Kersey left the roadway in her Toyota and drove between two River Bend apartment buildings to hit Stork. At one point, Cooksey says Stork was pinned between Kersey’s car and a tree and was dragged for a distance.

Apartment residents called police shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, and officers found Stork lying dead in grassy area between buildings.

Gautier Municipal Court Judge Jason Thornton set bond at $100,000. Kersey tells the judge she doesn’t have a lawyer yet.
