Suspected killer, Kevin McClinton, 21, the ex-convict accused of killing 14-year-old D’aja Robinson as she sat on a New York City bus, was captured in South Carolina by NYPD officers and the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force, reports NY Daily News.

Clinton reportedly has several prior arrests, an open gun case in Queens, NY, and a reputation to match.

“He’s a bad dude,” a source said to the Daily News.

Investigators believe McClinton was aiming for another teenaged girl when he squeezed off at least nine rounds into the side of the Q6 bus in Jamaica, Queens, on May 18, cops said.

One of the bullets hit D’aja Robinson in the head. The teen had just left a friend’s Sweet 16 party and was going to another pal’s birthday bash when she died.

Sources said McClinton is a member of the Snow gang, and the intended target was friendly with members of a rival street crew, EBK. The unidentified girl had made derogatory statements about McClinton’s gang, the sources said.

Investigators tracked him down to South Carolina after several anonymous tipsters called the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hot line.

McClinton -— who goes by the nickname, Red Bottoms Pharoh Da Space Boss — was waiting to be extradited Tuesday, officials said.

”The 14-year-old girl had nothing to with this,” Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said. “It’s a terrible tragedy, but it’s indicative of the fact that we just have too many guns and too many young people with access to these guns.”

As previously reported by NewsOne, Southside Jamaica, Queens came out in full force to say final farewells to D’aja. At the same time that thousands were paying their respects to the young girl and her family, Nathaniel Parker, 16, was questioned at the 113th Precinct in Jamaica, and subsequently released with no charges filed against him in relation to her death.

According to Nathanial Parker’s attorney, Tim Rountree, he and his mother were living in fear after hearing that there was a bounty on the head of whomever killed D’aja.

Queens MC 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, confirmed via Facebook that he payed for the white horse and carriage for the funeral of slain teen,  D’aja Robinson, reports XXLMag.com.

“People always try and paint negative images about me I’m the most genuine down to earth person and I didn’t forget where I came from I came through for baby girl by providing a horse and carriage for her. She was pretty, innocent and didn’t deserve to die like that R.I.P D’Asia Robinson.”
