On Sunday night’s premiere of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim shared with the world that she and her boyfriend Kanye West will be having a girl, due in late summer.
The revelation had some believing that such a public reveal was against the rapper’s wishes, based on his recent onstage tirade that he “ain’t no mother—-ing celebrity.”
Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian Odom opened up to MTV News about their decision to let cameras roll when she found out the sex, noting the normally private rapper and the spotlight-loving starlet discussed it all before it hit the air.
“Kim and Kanye, they both mutually agree on obviously what they want to have on the show or not,” she said earlier this week, ahead of the episode’s premiere. “And so I think everyone is curious and wants to know. And we have opened up so much of our lives, so I think it’s only natural. And I’m excited. I’m excited for everyone to find out so I can stop holding in information.”
The same day the season-eight premiere episode aired, Kim and her family started the countdown to Baby Kimye with a “garden chic” baby shower in L.A. Gossip lovers had already guessed that the couple was having a girl after an image of their very feminine music -box invite made its way online, featuring a ballerina dancing to Ye’s 2005 “Late Registration” track, “Hey Mama.”
