Sunday night the Billboard Music Awards honored the “Purple One” with a title many of us have already known he has been for years: an icon.

After receiving the award, Prince performed his 1984 hit “Let’s Go Crazy,” then transitioned into his new jam, “FIXURLIFEUP.”

What did you think of the performance?

Wow, there were three song performed. The “transition” part is Edgar Winter’s Frankenstein. Music history is lost.

  3. This is the only performance I wanted to see. He killed it! Prince is still bad. I’m not sure what that other stuff was last night, but it’s wasn’t real music or singing. I kept turning back to the award show to make sure I didn’t miss Prince. I’m so sick of the talkbox sound. Prince showed how it’s really done.

This man killed it last night and actually played and sung what you heard . Most on the show could hardly sing with the track let alone sing live .
