SELMA, Ala. (AP) — A Selma high school teacher has been arrested on sex crime charges after authorities say she had inappropriate relationships with two students.

The Selma Times-Journal reports  LaTengela Williams, a health teacher at Selma High School, was jailed Friday with bond set at more than $1 million.

District Attorney Michael Jackson says Williams is charged with three felonies — enticing a minor for immoral purposes, electronic solicitation of a child and possession of obscene materials depicting children — as well as a misdemeanor charge of a school employee having sexual contact with a student.

Selma Police Chief William T. Riley says an investigation revealed Williams had relationships with two students at the high school.

It was not known Saturday if Williams had hired an attorney.
