Over thirty New Zealand  hospital staff members have been fired for releasing photos of an x-ray of a man who had an eel stuck up his buttocks.

33 workers were fired from the Auckland City Hospital according to the New York Daily News.

The unidentified man underwent surgery to have the eel removed in September after he went to the emergency room because he was unable to remove the eel himself.

The staffers were fired because they breached confidentiality agreements.
