Singer Lauryn Hill, who pleaded guilty last year to tax evasion and will be sentenced next week, is now wanted by her landlord after she reportedly stopped paying rent on her South Orange mansion. According to TMZ, she’s been given an eviction notice.

As previously reported, the former Fugees member was charged with failing to pay taxes on $1.8 million in income in 2005, 2006, and 2007. She could face prison time, but in court papers filed earlier this month, she asks for probation, saying it would be easier to pay back the money she owes if she could work.

She also explained that she didn’t pay her taxes as a result of her general withdrawal from society “due to what she perceived as manipulation and very real threats to herself and her family.”

Hill is raising six children, five with reggae scion Rohan Marley. The sentencing hearing is Monday.
