WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia police hope the release of surveillance video will yield tips in a drive-by shooting that injured 13 people.

The shooting occurred early Monday outside a subsidized-apartment building on North Capitol Street and New York Avenue.

Surveillance video released by the police shows two cars speeding past a crowd of people standing outside the Tyler House, with shots fired from at least one of the vehicles. People can be seen immediately scrambling and diving to the ground.

Police say most of the injuries were minor, though one man was critically injured.

Authorities didn’t immediately reveal a motive, but Chief Cathy Lanier noted that a nearby nightclub had let out just before the shooting.
