Atlanta, GA–  A 19-year –old Atlanta teen Orentheal Childs was left for dead after being shot 15 times for trying to leave a gang Feb.15.

Childs is still alive, having survived all 15 bullets that were fired at him for attempting to cut ties with a gang with whom he was affiliated.

U.S. Marshal Eric Heinz tells Fox News, “Never since I’ve been in law enforcement have I seen someone shot 15 times and live.”

“The victim told the other members of the gang, ‘Hey, look I want to go straight, be law-abiding,’ and they weren’t happy with it,” Heinz said.

The victim began crawling and moaning for help after being shot. The people that aided him are reportedly now in protective custody.

Fox News reports agents with the U.S. Marshals Counter Gang Unit and Atlanta Police arrested two people in the shooting, including a 16-year-old and 19-year-old Farrakmad Muhammad Price, who were found Tuesday hiding in Tennessee.

Both suspects are confirmed members of the Young Mob, which is an affiliate of the Goodfellas street gang. Young Mob is a new gang whose motto is “you stay in until you die,” say investigators.

An unidentified relative tells Fox that the victim underwent surgery and is recovering.

Authorities are still investigating and are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call them or CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
