Christopher Castillo, the Florida man who made death threats against President Obama back in November was in court facing jurors this week.

In the post, Castillo said he would “hunt” the President down and then “kill him and watch the life disappear from his eyes.”

This week in court, his attorney James Smith, argued that his client was “baited” into making the comments by internet trolls.

Smith says Castillo was under a lot of stress at the time and had even tried to kill himself around the time of the Facebook post.

He also argued that Castillo was protected under the First Amendment.

However, despite Smith’s best efforts, Castillo is set to be sentenced in April. He is facing up to ten years in prison.
