23-year-old Ravens Cheerleader Courtney Lenz claims she was dropped from the Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl cheer leading squad because she gained a few pounds.
According to Lenz, the Ravens promised that all veteran cheerleaders would make the trip to the Super Bowl, but Lenz a veteran of five years, was still cut from the team.
The Ravens are defending her cut, saying that the team had to trim down their 60-person squad to thirty-two in accordance to the NFL’s Super Bowl game day rules
Lenz says that she was told by the team that she had a “rough season” and that she had gained weight; Lenz claims she only gained two lbs at most.
An online petition was posted on the “Help Us Get Courtney To Superbowl” Facebook page, it has gained over 27,000 signatures.
