The puzzling Manti Te’o hoax recently unearthed by Deadspin stirred up quite the controversy, and it wasn’t long before people connected the news with “Catfish,” MTV’s hit show that uncovers deceiving online relationships.  With even national media outlets linking Te’o story directly to “Catfish” and millions of people looking for love online, I decided to check in with relationship coach and former online dater, Anissa Oden about the most effective ways to find love on the world wide web and stay safe while doing it.

Anissa also talks about the official launch of MyBoopy, a new location-based smartphone application that allows users to share information, which will be used to help meet others that are in a specified proximity and share similar interests. To learn more about MyBoopy, visit their website at www.myboopy.com or their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/myboopycommunity.
