GREENSBORO, N.C. — Hip hop artist Rick Ross has canceled concerts in Greensboro and Charlotte after reportedly receiving death threats.
WCNC reports the Maybach Music Group concert tour was scheduled to be in Greensboro on Friday and in Charlotte on Saturday. Rappers Wale and Meek Mill were among others set to perform.
Live Nation Entertainment group said in a statement that refunds will be available starting Friday.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police issued a statement Wednesday before the cancellation, saying officers would be vigilant to ensure safety.
