“Paperboy”
Lee Daniels direct yet another controversial story about a group of low-rent characters set in 1969 Florida. Matthew McConaughey and Zac Efron play brothers Ward and Jack Jensen, who are roped into investigating the wrongful conviction of Charlotte Bless’ (Nicole Kidman) incarcerated fiancé. Kidman apparently uses her sexual wiles to keep everyone in line and things go predictably bad. If you thought Daniels was too into black pathology in “Precious” reviewers, mostly mixed on the movie, said this one gives white pathology equal time.
“Middle of Nowhere”
The first black female to ever scorea win at Sundance, Ava Duvernay releases her second film “Middle of Nowhere” about a med students who faces tough choices when her man is incarcerated. Check out https://www.facebook.com/MiddleofNowhereMovie for trailer, info and theaters
