  • Nathanael Gay calls into the Tom Joyner Morning show to clear the air about inaccurate reports that have spread across the web this week about he and his partner, Robert Brown's wedding.

Gay, a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity wants people to know his wedding was not intended to be a representation of his fraternity. Instead, it was simply the favorite color of his partner.

    1. Not sure how I feel about the whole marriage thing but they did it in style. Also if it wasn’t meant to make a statement to the Kappa organization, then why didn’t Gay edit out the scene with the “Kappa bros” throwing up the “yo” sign.. I’m also wondering why the burning desire to put this on YouTube. I tell you people have too much time on their hands

    2. Homosexuality is against the rules of God and of the bible. God made a woman for Adam and not another man. If one believe being gay is a standard, something is wrong with your thinking. While some accept this as OK. It is not. Being a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, I will not accept this and if I had the authority I would expell every member that say they are gay. Do we need to go back to the old school and make brothers that are brothers and not sisters. This is not only a Kappa problem. All Fraternities and Soroties have this problem.

    3. It is amazing how the Bible is interpreted and misinterpreted. When the Bible directs us not to judge, it refers to judging according to man’s standard. This is a judgement according to God’s standard. Additionally, we cannot compare speaking against homosexuality in the context as Race. Race is an ethnicity, not a lifestyle.

    4. Whereas, I don’t believe that anyone should be hated or mistreated, blacks, African Americans, etc., don’t owe any more understanding to gays, lesbians, transgenders, etc., than any other group of people on this planet. Yes, we were discriminated against, however, so were a number of other races of people. It is bad enough when others equate you with a social ill. Yes, I called being gay a social ill because we were taught in this country that homosexuality is against God. You can’t have it both ways. They, our former slave masters, gave us their Bibles which preaches against homosexuality. So, either the Bible is true and it is an abomination before God or the Bible is a lie and any anti-social behavior, not just homosexuality, should be excused, tolerated, accepted. Next thing you know, liars, murders, thieves etc., will be pleading their cases for having been born that way. So, let’s do away with the Ten Commandments or any other biblical rules and let’s blame all wrong or anti-social behavior on God. That way, nobody has to take responsibility for anything!

    5. I MYSELF A STRAIGHT MAN LIKE IT WHEN ANYONE COMES OUT ABOUT HOW THEY REALLY ARE AT LEAST THEY ARE NOT ASHAMED OF WHO THEY ARE AND THE LIFESTYLE THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO LIVE TWO THUMBS UP. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR UNION AND HE WILL

    6. I have read several of the comments related to these grown men and i can not believe the hate that some of you have in you. Who are we as Blacks, African Americans, Negros, etc… to pass judgement or hate anyone? Really? It has not been that long ago people when we could not have walked into a diner and eat, drink out of a water fountain that was marked whites only, whistle at a white lady without ending up in a tree dead, sit anywhere on a bus, vote, and the list goes on (people… hello, we were and in some places still are HATED JUST BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF OUR SKIN!) and you have the nerve to hate someone? Wake up black people, wake up!

    7. I hope this comment is directed at true “haters”. I am a Christian and follow the word in the bible regarding homosexuality. I do not need to hate or disrepect others to respect my beliefs. I will not be singing the gay and lesbian anthem and I will never accept this lifestyle!!

    8. You know ppl kill me using the bible to pass judgement on other ppl. What get me is how we tend to use it as a contradiction to other words God says in the “Bible” we criticize other ppl and yet the “Bible” also says “Judge not and ye not be judged” I guess some of us missed that scripture. Oh did I forget “let him without sin cast the first stone” not only that but we as black ppl didn’t like it when our race was being use against us to hold us down what the hell gives us the right to pass judgement on someone else for whatever reason. There are so many other issues to be concerned about such as why are we stealing from our own, or why are we killing off our ppl, and why are we not helping each other as a community. Find something else to criticize besides who marrying who.
