The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ruled in favor of a white administrator at Winston-Salem State University, Shira Hedgepeth, who claims she was fired from her job because of reverse racism.

According to reports, Hedgepeth claimed she was told she did not have the proper skills to stay in her position after her department was restructured.

She also said Winston-Salem did not have have any proof to fire her, saying, "They had no documentation of any problem with my employment. I was highly regarded as a qualified employee."

Hedgepeth says she is forever damaged from the firing.

Now Hedgepeth and Winston-Salem State will go into mediation. If the two are unable to come to a settlement the case will be brought to the federal court.
