Valerie Spruill decided to reveal her bizarre story to a small Ohio paper, the Akron Beacon, about a family secret that is so unimaginable that it can make anyone’s skin crawl.  What did it take years for her to reveal?  Six years after her husband passed away in 1998, Spruill found out that he was in fact her biological father.

Spruill came from a small town of about 3,000 residents called “Doylestown” in Wayne County, Ohio.  Spruill’s dad, Percy, married her mother when they were only 15 years old.  She does not know how many children the couple had together and is only aware of six brothers.

WHAT was the point in revealing this? You do not look upset about it. OH-was money involved?
This world is mess, some things DONOT need to be shared with the world. Tell God.

  2. According to other media outlets, she didn’t know who her dad was because her mom was a prostitute. And you guessed it, her mom slept with the husband when he was fifteen. Gets pregnant and because she is a prostitute she doesn’t know who the dad is. The child is given away at three months old. Grows up and marries her dad. I doubt she ever knew that this was her father. Now what he knew that is questionable.

This is horrible. Although the story leaves out a lot of details, the details that we do know is that the father committed incest and the uncle knew about it. Talk about keeping sh*t in the family.

That is just a nasty and sick family secret that should’ve never gotten out, esp if he had an inkling he could’ve been messing with his daughter.

  7. If her father knew and I’m sure he did, cause the uncle knew then he is going to burn for that. Another reason father’s should be in their children’s lives, and stop having all these children by all these different women, soon you wil hear about brother and sisters marrying each other
