Rumors surfaced over the weekend that Jennifer Lopez and her boy toy Casper Smart are heading toward a breakup after paps allegedly caught the dancer leaving a gay peep show in NYC a few weeks ago.
Last week TMZ, reported that the couple threatened to sue Star Magazine and In Touch over what they call fabricated reports that Smart visited a gay sex club. E! News reported soon after that a source came forward saying Lopez is rethinking her commitment with Smart.
“They are still together,” the source said according to the website. “But the photos have shaken her up. She is taking some time to think about things.”
The site further quotes the source as saying that for Lopez “this feels all too familiar” since she “has never been great at picking men.”
“They have not split yet, but it’s fair to say they are cooling off a bit,” the source told E! News.
“The pictures have created a distance between them. Even if Casper is telling the truth, and he didn’t mean to walk into the doorway, it just proves how young and immature he is. He should have been more careful, he knows he is often being followed by paparazzi.”
However, new photos of the couple surfaced online this weekend showing them taking a stroll at the park on Sunday with Lopez’s twins in Calabasas, Calif. Smart carries her 4-year-old daughter Emme. An older man walking in front of J.Lo and Smart is holding Lopez’s son Max’s hand.
Last week a new video surfaced on Celebuzz, where a barber from Diamond Cuts says Smart went to get a haircut at the barbershop near the adult shop in Manhattan’s Times Square. He says Smart then went to the ATM, which appears to be right in front of the adult shop. The barber told Celebuzz the allegations that Smart went into a gay peep show are completely untrue.
Still, the source tells E! News that Lopez is taking time to think if Smart “is worth all this trouble.”
"Jennifer cares about Casper, they are certainly very close,” the source said. “But he is not the love of her life. She can live without him. If she does decide to split from him she’ll be ok.”
Despite the report from E! News, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton says another source claims Lopez is not ready to let go of Smart just yet.
"Jennifer is the kind of girl who doesn’t like to be alone," the unidentified source told PerezHilton.com, "Until she finds a replacement, I think, he’s around."
