A new survey conducted by Trojan revealed that African Americans are ready to spice up their sex lives.

Trojan’s ‘Charged Sex Life Survey’ asked over 3,000 Americans how satisfied they were with their sex lives. Fifty percent of the respondents said that their sex lives could use some sprucing up.

Among the African American participants, 58 percent of black men said that their sex lives needed a jump start while 50 percent of black women agreed.

Results also showed that 49 percent of blacks were interested in spontaneous sex and 37 percent were into talking dirty to a partner. Study findings revealed that 70 percent of black participants did not mind introducing a vibrator into their sex lives.

According to this annual ‘Sex Census’, black men admitted that they think about sex 17 times a day in comparison to black women who think about sex five times a day.

Trojan said that they are unable to provide comparative information due to the sampling pool and the method used to conduct the surveys. However, previous studies conducted by the National Sleep Foundation did find contributing data such as the amount of sexual activity that occurs during the hours before bed.

Based on a previous NSF study, ten percent of both blacks and Hispanics reported that they are likely to have sex one hour before going to bed in comparison to four percent of whites.

Trojan’s study findings are a result of two surveys conducted in May including a national sample of 1,000 10-minute surveys. The results also included a 2,000-person sample from cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

Researchers found that Atlanta was the most “sexually-charged” city.
