Investigation officials discovered that James Holmes was rejected by three women online shortly before the Colorado massacre.

Officials learned that Holmes opened an account with on July 5 and reached out to the women who eventually turned him down.

In his online profile, Holmes described himself as looking for casual or even group sex. However, one of the women revealed that Holmes wasn’t actually looking for a sexual encounter when he contacted her. She described his intentions as "just looking to maybe chat … nothing sexual."  

His profile has been removed from the site.
