According to a recent study, a genetic link exists between breast size and breast cancer.

In the study published by "BMC Medical Genetics," seven different genetic variations were identified associated with breast size.

Out of the seven variations, two were also found to be linked to higher risk of breast cancer. Those two variations were found to be specifically found in women with larger breasts.

However, researchers examined information from 16,175 women of only European descent. Leaving out possible cultural or genetic differences in women of color.

Other researchers believe, although the study can identify a link, it cannot provide a direct correlation between breast size and cancer but provides a better understanding of the relationship.
