Eddie Murphy is alive and well, despite Twitter rumors to the contrary.
The actor was a trending topic on Wednesday with false reports that he had lost control of his snowboard, crashed into a tree and died from his injuries.
Not true.
The hoax likely stems from a February 2012 story by Global Associated News, who claimed Murphy was vacationing in Zermatt, Switzerland with his family and smashed into a tree while snowboarding. On that occasion, Murphy was apparently airlifted to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. None of that was true, either.
As previously reported, Murphy has signed on to star in a sequel to Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s film “Twins,” as their long lost triplet.
