Ever wanted to date a celebrity? Well, on “The Choice,” several ladies and guys get that chance, but here’s the twist – they have no idea what celebrity it is. Using the chair-spinning idea of “The Voice,” the wannabe celeb daters are unseen by the celebrities until they sound interesting enough to be turned around. Hosted by Cat Deeley, “The Choice” airs on Thursday nights at 9 p.m.

“What started out as a goof ended up being a ridiculously good format,” Mike Darnell head of alternative programming for Fox told EW.com.  “[The show] works beautifully. It’s going to sell all over the world.”

Joe Jonas, DJ Pauly D of “Jersey Shore” and “Suburgatory’s” Parker Young have all found dates thus far. Comic Finesse Mitchell, who once had a relationship column, will appear on the June 21st show.  Tyson Beckford, Carmen Electra and Sophie Monk are among the other daters on the show, which is meant to be more fun than anything else.

“It's not about the date you go on, it's about the competition – the silliness of the competition as it goes on," celeb dater Dean Can told Ontherredcarpet.com. "I promise you, it's one of those things that's going to be really fun to watch. It's kind of ridiculous but I had a good time."

Mitchell is also appearing on the Disney Channel show “A.N.T. Farm” and has upcoming appearances on the VH1 show “Single Ladies.” If you’re in the Atlanta area on June 23, Mitchell is taping the comedy special “One Man Monster” at the 14th Street Playhouse. You can buy tickets here.
