A dwarf actors’ group is outraged after Universal Studios casted average-sized people for the dwarf roles in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

The group is threatening a 100-midget march to protest the box-office hit featuring Oscar-winner Charlize Theron.

The leader of the actors’ group, Matt McCarthy believes that this injustice is similar to a studio casting a white actor to portray an African-American role by changing their skin tone.

A spokesperson for The Little People of America believes that the entertainment industry should be proactive in hiring little people.

"This means both casting people with dwarfism as characters that were specifically written to be played by little people … and other roles that would be open to people of short stature," the spokesperson said.

The film’s director Rupert Sanders used camera angles and special effects to make actors Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Brian Gleeson, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost and Johnny Harris appear as dwarfs.
