Attention all reality show lovers. If you still can’t get enough of the weekly arguing, slapping and female amateur boxing that is “Basketball Wives,” get ready for even more drama.
Word has it that a movie version of the show may be coming to a big screen near you.
Show producer Shaunie O’Neal called on the talents of “Jumping the Broom” producer Tracey Edmonds to create and pitch the idea to various movie studios. According to Variety, Fox Searchlight films liked it and is now in the movie’s developing stages.
The plot delves into the life of a young woman who moves to Miami with her newly drafted NBA player boyfriend.
“The beauty of the feature film is that we’ll have the ability to dig much deeper into the stories and characters that come from this very colorful world and create a very juicy, action-packed narrative,” says Edmonds.
