In her People magazine cover story, Beyoncé finally addresses rumors that she faked her pregnancy.
“That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy,” she said. “[I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”
According to People, the singer’s mother, Tina Knowles, was even more disturbed by rumors that the singer and her husband Jay-Z hired a surrogate for the pregnancy.
“I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months,” she said. “As a mother, it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.”
Beyoncé, named People’s “Most Beautiful Woman in the World,” delivered Blue Ivy Carter on Jan. 7th. Next for the singer is a string of shows on Memorial Day weekend at the new Revel Resorts in Atlantic City.
