And, as always, we want to hear from you! Watch the show with us, hear what the Fly Jock and his crew has to say throughout – and give us your input in the comments section. Don’t be surprised if your words appear on your TV screen as part of TV One’s live coverage …

10:54 a.m.: Welcome, welcome, welcome … let the movement begin!

10:56 a.m.: Thanks for attending our live blog party. Thanks for your questions and comments. And for those of you who keep asking: No, he isn’t and no, he wasn’t.

10:57 a.m.: Like all of our live blog parties, we will have drinking games. I know it’s a little early to be consuming spirits, but this is a special day. so everytime you hear the word “empowerment” mentioned, take a sip.

10:58 a.m.: The big show is about to start. And please let Sybil and J. know that I AM in church.

11:01 a.m.: Are you watching the broadcast? How’s my hair? I know it pales next to Rev. Al’s.

11:02 a.m.: It’s a full-house, and these people are not playing. Like you, they do not want to hear the same old thing. They want answers and solutions. But they need to loosen up!

11:03 a.m.: We should have had J.Anthony Brown come out and warm up the audience. If we weren’t in church, I would suggest that we show his video, which you can still check out on BlackAmericaWeb.com. But, I digress …

11:05 a.m.: Okay, y’all – here we go.

11:06 a.m.: Tom is busy on stage. I’m his producer, Nikki Woods, and I’ll be taking over for him for a while.

11:08 A.M.: The show has started, and we’re inviting you to start sending your comments right away. Please don’t leave Tom hanging … we’ve got two hours to fill!

Okay, Tom is back – for a few minutes.

11:11 a.m.: Hey, y’all. How did I do? Have you voted since the presidential election? If you haven’t? Why not?

11:14 a.m.: Do you feel like the major national issues actually touch your community? Health care reform? The stimulus package?

11:24 A.M.: That sister set it off. She has an alternative for the Tea Parties – the Cocoa Parties!

Everything was so much better when the government used to provide summer jobs and programs for youth in the community. If you were a young person before the Reagan administration, you probably had one of those jobs. What was it? why can’t we bring that back?

11:33 a.m.: We have an RNC rep on the panel. It isn’t Michael Steele. I wonder why he didn’t show up (Wink, wink!).

These people are making commitments. Who’s going to hold them to it?

11:40 a.m.: How do you think it’s going so far? Are we accomplishing anything, or is it more of what you’ve been hearing year after year? You can tell me the truth. It’ll be just between you and me.

Ready for another drinking game? Every time you hear the word “Twitter” or “Tweet,” take a drink.

11:41 a.m.: Are you a member of the NAACP, the Urban League, National Action Network or Sam’s Club?

11:51 a.m.: It’s getting hot in here. I might have to come out of this jacket. I wish I could get the same response as President Obama does when he takes his jacket off. I know, I know.

12:11 p.m.: An achievement gap, an opportunity gap. I like that. But what does it mean to you?

12:58 p.m.: Okay, you heard it. We are going to hold these panelists accountable for the committments they made. We’re going to do our part on the TJMS. But I need you to hold us to it! And ask yourself what Roland just did: What are YOU prepared to do?
