James Tadros, 29, tried to kill a 9-year-old girl in a Florida Best Buy, but was stopped by store employees who ran into the bathroom after a woman reported hearing the little girl’s screams of terror, reports the NY Daily News.
According to a news release, employees looked under the door to the handicapped stall and saw Tadros forcing the girl’s head — which was wrapped in a plastic bag — down the toilet. Once he saw employees, he dropped the girl, who was able to climb under the stall door to safety, reports Action News Jax.
The girl, who is shown on surveillance video being lured away from her mother by the 6’0, 250 lbs Tadros, had been beaten and kicked until she was bloody and there was blood all over the bathroom stall.
Best Buy employees held Tadros until police arrived.
“Basically, they’re heroes,” said Best Buy spokesperson Jon Sandler. “They saved the girl.”
