Our mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the fourth time now and she is coping with all the dignity, faith and strength she has.   My sister and I made the decision to stop her from working and to take care of her to the best of our ability, no matter what sacrifices we have to make to keep her comfortable.

We are all living together in order to pull all our resources into one household.  We have my mother, me and my 9 year -old daughter, my sister and her 3 children, 11, 6 and 4 and as you can imagine schedules are crazy.   Between rent, utilities, childcare, two car payments, insurance, groceries, gas and mom’s medical care— the well is running dry. We are now barely maintaining, but doing what we can and need to. It’s getting to the point that it is causing stress on both my sister and I.  Our older brothers do what they can, but they have their own families, so the bulk of the responsibility falls on us.

Our Christmas wish is for help maintaining our car payments, considering these two vehicles are our only means of transportation to work, school, daycare and mother’s chemo treatments. This is one of the most important things that are falling behind as we try to maintain a full household.   We don’t know what else to do or where else to go for help, we aren’t looking for a hand-out just a hand-up.
