Hi. My name is Sybil. I work, rarely take a sick day, pay my mortgage and other bills on time, tithe, volunteer, vote in most elections, check in with my relatives from time to time, floss daily, remember most birthdays – but apparently, what I don’t do is blog enough.
Here’s the thing: I am fortunate enough to work on a nationally syndicated radio show for four hours a day, five days a week. If I can’t give my thoughts and opinions during that time, I’m not doing my job. But some folks have been “conversating” about Why Sybil Doesn’t Blog More Often.
Suggestions have been made how to make this task easier for me. The latest was most generous: Let’s have Sybil talk with another friend on the regular after the radio show. We could make notes during the convo and print it in blog form. As generous as that is, after four or five hours in a studio, as my co-workers and friends will tell you, more often than not, I’m all talked out.

Can we discuss this ad with this brother talking about immigration and how Hispanics are taking jobs from us. I think the ad is designed to put a wedge between blacks and Hispanics voters. The Numbers.com people want to create pandemonium in the black community that Hispanics will take our jobs, and that since Romney is against immigration, this will gain him black votes. It is not uncommon for whites to use blacks to win elections, the sad part is that we don’t see that we are being used and have no principles, as long as we get paid. Romney could care less about poor and middle class blacks or Hispanics; the 47% he disparages in that video. If that man wins watch out for the dismantlement of what President Obama has worked so hard for to build. He has done a magnificent job and the negative assumptions and stereotypes that whites like to hold about blacks has been unfounded since he has been president. It was good to hear President Obama take time out his schedule to talk to Tom Joyner and the TJMS this week. It was interesting to see how most of the main stream media news outlets (ABC, CBS, NBC, the cable networks, etc.) picked
up the “polite” comment by the President and presented it to their viewers, listeners, and readers. What is ironic is that probably 90% of that main stream audience had no clue who Tom Joyner is, nor what the TJMS is. And not just White people, but Black people too. You would be amazed how uninformed some of our communities are.
That’s why it is important that we support all of the Black media; the radio shows, the TV shows, the magazines, the newspapers, the authors, the blogs, all of those outlets that present information from a different perspective. The Black media puts it out there everyday in a way the mainstream can’t nor won’t. Support Black media because they support you everyday, rather you realize it or not.

Here is where my theory kicks-in, Women have never ever been happy with this arrangement. Because the men waited until when the women were most defenseless, since this was their means by which the men took advantage of them. Women today, understanding the power of their Silk Purse have learned to take full advantage of being in control of It.

Are women today knowingly denying, and rationing access to the Silk Purse to control the men for what they did or do?
Could the plot be more sinister and that the women are slow killing off the men at their golden years?
How do I support this theory?
For one, why are men dying in greater numbers more so than the women?

I a Lowly man has the audacity to make light of the fact that a great number of mature women are drier and maybe washed-up and not capable of having a health sexual relationship with a healthy man’s sexual desires or needs.
As an artist, I have been successful in opening up the dialogue. As a teacher, I have supported my statements with facts in my own creative way.
Yes, men have to step up their behavior and appearance when it comes to keeping that appeal.
I have had a very mature, health conscience, attractive woman tell me that when some of these men, “One Big Mac away from a heart attack,” approach her, she ask them, “If I looked like You, would You have approached Me.”
I can guarantee that those who read into the message in my analogy will never look at theirs or other’s partners in the same manner.

Mr. Obama it is time to be An Angry Black Man
I am not especially a birthday kind of person. I really don’t need presents. My wife knows exactly what I want for my birthday every year. She gives me on that day the freedom to do and say exactly what I want with no repercussions. Talk about freedom. I think that we as the nation owe the President this gift. Just one day to do and say what he would like. Allow him to be an Angry Man.
The recent publication by a Spanish Magazine depicting the First Lady in slave garments, partially nude on the cover of the magazine is beyond disgraceful. Every REAL American should be angry at this depiction of OUR First Lady. What may be difficult for us to swallow is that we as a nation bear part of the responsibility for this shameful act. Yep, part of it is our fault.
Through our own inaction and acceptance of attack upon attack on our President we have sent the message to the world that it is ok for them to do the same. We have said to the world that we disagree with his policies, his governing and, yes, the color of his skin so much, we have chosen to take any and every opportunity to display our disrespect and by the way, it is fine if you decide to do the same. Can you imagine a Congressperson calling, I’m sorry, shouting ‘Liar’ to President Johnson as he delivered an important address on national television? Who can recall a time President Kennedy was verbally scolded by a sitting governor on the tarmac as he exited Air Force One? Did anyone ever ask Presidents Washington, Bush or Truman to produce their birth certificate?
Now the world feels that it is ok to disrespect our President. It is perfectly permissible in their eyes to denigrate our First Lady. Enough is enough. WE need to send them the message that it just ain’t so. As mama use to say, “you can hit your brother but you better not let anybody else put a hand on him.” First, we need to start by stop hitting our brother. It is perfectly acceptable and expected to have proper and respected political and policy discord. Comics, late night TV hosts and political illustrators relax, you know or should know I am not referring to you. We know where that line is that we should not cross. Let us not pretend that we don’t or that we need an act of Congress or a decision from the Supreme Court to tell us. If you don’t know just look back over the history of the country, you will get a pretty good idea.
Next, we need to let our brother hit back. We should loose our President from all proper and societal etiquette and let him respond as a man whose integrity, family and the office that he holds has been attacked. At his State of the Union is where he should address the nation and world on the change in protocol. I would suggest the following:
And finally, a message to all those in this chamber, under the sound of my voice and around the world. To Europe, particularly Spain, Japan, Israel and everybody else that we give money. To every Congressperson, Governor and state in this union. If you ever again disrespect the Office of President of the United States, my person, my family or the country we have sworn to govern and protect, there will be consequences. Federal contracts will be ended, federal funds will be cut off and all federal compliance will be heighted. Just try me and watch how quickly funds will be cut off. Better yet, I will make sure that any funding has to get Michelle’s approval before we write a check. Please do not see this as a threat but rather a commitment to maintain the status of this office. Next election there will be another President but for the next four years I AM THE PRESIDENT. I plan to use the full power of this office to insure that for the next four years it will be treated with respect and the political and societal decorum given every other man who has been honored to hold this office by the citizens of this country. Last time I checked the Army, Navy, Marines, FBI, CIA, IRS and NASA all report to my office. In honor of Washington and Bush, Clinton, Lincoln and Reagan I will enforce this protocol with the vigor and diligence that is a prerequisite of having such authority. If this new enlightenment is not enacted immediately consequences will be felt from the Stone Mountain, Georgia to the Russian Republic of Georgia. Disrespect my wife again if you want to. Reverend Gary Travis’ small inner city church has fallen on hard times and is facing foreclosure. The
Reverend is willing to do anything to save his church and all of the programs that it funds in the local community. When he is approached by two corrupt police officers with a proposition to launder money for a drug cartel, reverend Travis is appalled but knows that he has run out of options. After learning that there are four other churches on board Travis is finally convinced by an old acquaintance, a smooth talking crooked pastor of a mega church. Travis reluctantly joins the cartel with plans to stay only long enough to raise enough money to save his church. The two dirty cops who run the organization have other
plans for Travis and anyone who tries to leave the group; the only way out is in a body bag. In over his head and wrestling with his conscience, the reverend must now figure out how to leave the cartel without losing his life. A clever plot to turn the cartel members against one another is the reverend’s only hope. The drama unfolds as he starts to manipulate men and their vices to carry out his plan…but will it work?

Is J. Anthony Brown alright? He got a little unprofessional on air this morning. Maybe he needs a Whoo-sa moment next time he disagrees with a guest (in that manner). I noticed when topics of child support , custody and parenting issues come up he takes a personal interest to voice is opinion. You will agree and disagree with some but as a radio personality to get like that live on air was poor taste.
