It’s the only reality show where being a loser is being a winner as African American contestants Michael Dorsey and Alexandra Reid know. The two are losing this season on “The Biggest Loser” with the hopes of earning the show’s top prize. This was a particular challenge for Dorsey, a huge fan of The Tom Joyner Morning Show, who was the biggest of the contestants this season.
The 34-year-old Baltimore native began the season at 444 pounds. Despite struggling with weight after injury ended his high school athletic career, the now married father with a divinity degree from Faith Evangelical Seminary wants to return to wrestling, coach his son in sports and do normal things he can’t now do, like ride a roller coaster. Though Dorsey was eliminated, he lost 91 pounds on “The Biggest Loser” and has lost even more since he left the ranch.
